Privacy policy
Pantrova is made by Garinio. Last updated: 3 November 2026. This policy describes exactly what the app does today.
What stays on your iPhone
Your kitchen (foods, quantities, dates), your shopping list, what you log as eaten, used or thrown away, the dishes you cook and your food preferences are stored only on your iPhone, in the app's own file. If you enter your age, height, weight, sex and activity level to estimate a calorie target, these stay on your iPhone too. Pantrova has no account and no server for this data. Your iPhone's normal backup (iCloud or computer) may include it.
Pantrova does not read Apple Health and does not use your location, camera, contacts or photos.
Anonymous usage statistics
To understand whether the app is useful, Pantrova sends pseudonymous product events, for example "item added", "dish cooked" or "paywall viewed". Each event includes the app version, the iOS version, the language setting, a random installation identifier created by the app and a random session identifier.
Events never contain food names, quantities, dates, your body measurements, your calorie target, your diet or allergies, or anything you type. Counts are sent as ranges such as "2-5". Events are not linked to your identity, not used for advertising, never sold and never used to track you across apps or websites.
Events are sent to the Garinio analytics database and kept for up to 400 days. You can turn statistics off at any time in Settings → Privacy; events waiting to be sent are then deleted from your iPhone.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple. Pantrova receives only the information needed to know whether Premium is active (signed transactions from the App Store). Pantrova never sees your payment details.
Notifications
If you allow it, Pantrova shows at most one reminder a day when food in your kitchen should be used soon. It is computed on your iPhone.
Nutrition information
Nutrition values and keeping times are typical values for generic foods, rounded, and calorie targets are estimates from a standard formula. They are not medical or dietary advice. Always check the date on the label.
Deleting your data
Settings → Privacy → "Delete all my data" removes your kitchen, lists, log and preferences and clears pending statistics. Uninstalling the app also removes this data. Your subscription is managed in your Apple Account settings.
